Privacy Policy
UNeedSoft ("the Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws, and values the personal information of AmenTalk ("the Service") users. This policy explains what personal information the Company collects, uses, retains, and destroys.
1. Personal Information Collected
At sign-up: email address, password (encrypted), nickname, profile image (optional), service language preference
When using social login (Google, Kakao): the identifier and basic profile information provided by the social account
While using Talk: chat room messages, room participation and invitation history
While using Bible: last-read reading position, bookmarks, highlights, meditation note content
While using Bible Listening (TTS): playback settings such as speed, selected voice preset, and background-playback preference (stored on-device only; never transmitted to our servers)
While using Bible Recording (voice recording): recording files and metadata such as file name and recording time (stored only in local device storage; never uploaded or transmitted to our servers). This feature requires microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) permission.
While using voice recognition (STT, voice input/commands): if the device supports on-device speech recognition, voice data is processed entirely on the device. On devices without on-device support, voice data may be sent to the online speech-recognition service provided by the Android OS for processing (see Section 5, Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing)
While using Plan: reading-plan progress records, certificate issuance history, preferred reminder time
While using Prayer: prayer requests and answer records, dedicated-prayer records
Notification preferences: per-category (chat/prayer/plan) notification opt-in status, sound/vibration settings
Automatically collected information: device push token (FCM token) for sending push notifications, access logs, device information
2. Purposes of Collection and Use
Member identification and service provision (login, participating in chat/ reading rooms, sending notifications)
Calculating reading progress, sharing team reading-room progress, and issuing completion certificates
Responding to customer inquiries and improving the Service
Preventing fraudulent use and ensuring service stability
3. Retention and Use Period
Personal information is destroyed without delay upon account withdrawal. Information that must be retained under applicable law is kept separately for the period required by that law before destruction.
4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Company does not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent, except where required by law or upon a lawful request from an investigative authority.
